i'm waiting on confirmation of getting a BYOC spot transferred to me right now... then i'll be going up there to replace a 4th player on team DSC... frankly i havent heard of any of the players, so im guessing it's just a buncha friends who want to compete for the fun of it... so i'm just looking forward to the experience since ive never played in a big competition before...
it's gonna be nuts cuz im gonna try to go to the Texas Gaming Festival LAN in austin the 23-25, then get back to houston, then fly to DFW the evening of the 27th, cuz that afternoon is when the DSC guys are getting in... we'll be staying at the super 8 motel right at the edge of the airport...
to be honest i'm thinking i won't even bother bringing my pc... there's gonna be so much other stuff to see and do that it's not even that big of a deal for me... i'm just hoping i don't end up getting stuck somewhere (i.e. the dsc guys decide to leave the day early in the car and i have to walk back to the motel or something =o )
