Tailoring

There is a post about this alerady but I wanted to post one myself. I am a Tailor and was wondering if there is a specialization for it. Others can do Weapons or Armor, Gnome or Goblin. What does the tailor get...nothing?

Re: Tailoring

No sir, no current specialization but that certainly doesn't mean one won't be added with a patch in the future.

As far as tailoring goes, once you hit a 14 slotter (purchasable in Wintersprings) or a 16 slotter there's not a great deal of worthwhile recipes. You basically just start doing the mooncloth grind as you try not to miss any days of purifying it. I recommend buying the Felcloth on the AH then just hording a stockpile of mooncloth until a recipe arrises (through patch or ordinary means) that you want to make. The important thing is to have as many mooncloth as possible.

Re: Tailoring

If patience was a skill, it would payoff in the longrun. Just keep tailoring trained up and it'll get you some coin or recipes some day.

RE: Tailoring

Very good idea to make and save mooncloth! You can buy felcloth in the AH and also gather it in Felwood, doesn't drop very often though. Mooncloth is key though. You use it for making the 16 slot bags, as well as mooncloth armor which sells well. I believe the bottomless bags (18 slot bag where stackable items stack indefinitely) take like 10 mooncloth to make and will be a big seller if a tailor on your server gets the pattern drop!

Also I know my priest class epic pattern for vestements robe took many mooncloth to make, not sure about the other class specific patterns.

Keep an eye out for good blue patterns on the AH ;)

dont quit tailoring though. especially if you're a mage or priest. im a mage and i have 232 tailoring right now and i love it. making your own armor is awesome and making your own bags help you not to spend your money on someone elses. so im tailor/enchanter and its goin good for me 232/175
