Okay I made a comment on the vid but thought we may want a thread to comment in.

1) manticore looks a lot taller than i thought he would be.

2) okay I'm probably gonna feel stupid when I get the answer, but who is the MA type in civilians?

There has been alot of speculation on the CoH Forums to who that is but a rep over that said he is hero named Foreshadow. Alot of people think he might be a trainer for a new zone or exsisting, some think he is there to appeal to the Asian heroes or just a hero to connect with general public. He is wearing new I4 gear which is cool. There is actually a really funny thread concerning the video, check out this link: New Hero!

Statesman wearing cape is a new look.

Also Lord Recluse looks like 20 steps above our current AV's, not sure if he would be a fun fight!

1. I don't know who the kung-fu kid was though I agree with the CoH official forum and say he was sidekicked since he didn't even have a travel power, lol.

2. I loved how they hade sound effects from the game in the video.

3. That tentacle power was kick-ass that the dead pale chick used. Is that CoH power or something totally new?

4. I want my bow and arrow blaster!

5. Nice that they added voice to the characters.

6. And finally, where was Sister Psyche? Still recovering from her mind trauma thingy?

I thought I saw Sister get smacked down... The MA/regen (probably) scrapper wearing the motorcycle jacket... too cool. I like the thought that he's just some new red-shirt. But cool none the less. I've seen it like 5 times now. I love it... makes me wanna play a hero till I can play a villian ;)

A couple of observations:

1) I'm sorry, but I thought Lord Recluse was "less cool" than he was in the last COV trailer. I know he does more here, but he's in the light more too, and he talks too much like your typical baddie. I liked the creepy ominous Lord Recluse in the first COV trailer.

2. Not a real big fan of the Shark. He just looked kind of dorky to me, but I suppose it adds the intriguing possibility of creating characters in COV with Beastial qualities.

I thought Mako (the shark character) looked great. His cool points shot up even further when he talked. "Is that all you got?" - The best part being that he hardly moved his mouth. Leading me to believe that he possibly has some sort of mental voice...Or the creators simply didn't feel like creating the animation. Either way, I thought it was totally botzin.

Okay love the thread and I have to agree McAsia is a SR, he goes through the minions untouched then gets 1 shotted ,deja vu. Flashback to Marauder.

Second, can someone tell me why Manticore would TP CLOSER to the melee types to fire an arrow? He musta been PL'd.

Damage.

At least in "real life" an arrow is going to do a LOT more damage at point blank range than it's going to do at long range.

Either way, "Captain" Mako probably would've stomped him. Did you see the distance in that tackle? They should draft him in the NFL.
