Plz help me people!!!

Hello guys,
I am facing problems with all my games. My computer: Pentium 3 1GHz, RAM 1000, video card ATI 9600. Well, most of the times when I try to start a game, it freezes so I have to restart the system(!!!)! But sometimes when I start to play a game it starts with NO problem(!?!?!?!),
plz help me!!!

Any player(s) found my name in the game are NOT me!

I'll try to help you as best I can. However I will need more info about your setup. What I need you to do is this.

1. Press the Start button. Select Run.

2.In the box that appears type dxdiag then hit enter.

3. If its your first time running dxdiag a window will appear, just select yes.

4. The DirectX diagnostic tool will open. In the lower right there will be the option Save all information, select it.

5. Save the dxdiag text file to your desktop. Open it up with notepad, copy all the information and post it back here as a reply.

I didn't find anything out of the ordinary in the report that would make your pc freeze. Your Pc specs are all good except for your 128 video card could use an upgrade,however it is compatible with Lineage II, and SP2 is a known source of problems, If possible Id uninstall it.

The only other thing I can suggest is openning the Hardware manager and make sure nothing has an exlamation point next to it. Especially your video card. Do you know if you disabled the onboard graphics card when you added the ATI card? If you need help doing this let me know.

On your desktop or startmenu find the My Computer icon. Right click on it one time. Select Properties.

A new window called System Properties will open. Select the Hardware tab. Select the Device Manager button.

Once the Hardware manager opens there will be a list of hardware installed on your machine. Devices that have a conflict have a yellow exclamation point next to them. Disabled devices have a red x. Near the top expand (click on the +) the Display adapters value. There should be two listed. One being your ATI 9600 and the other being the one that came with your PC.

On the one that came with your PC (not the ATI) right click on it and select Disable. Reboot and you done.

Lag less during game time!

Look, i dont know much about computer systems and stuff, but once you get that problem solved, to stop further lag coming from the game itself, do the following:

Open up the menu by pressing: alt+x
Then go to options
Then click: "Use lower resolution"
Finaly click the: "Music ON/OFF" button and switch it to off, the battle soud effects will still be there but you woun't be able to hear the music.

Believe me, it not much, but my game now lags soooo much less after that.

P.S: I called over a comp expert and he sais your report is good, he agrees with the admin that helped you.

Best bet is getting a newer video card with atleast 256mb of ram. Other than that I would just suggest doing some tweaks and maintence to windows. Ie. multibooting winxp and 98, defragmenting your hard drives, turn off all services and startup programs, stuff like that.
