I've got a Ghost Ship question for you all.
I know one of the results of the Ghost Ship is that the Ghosts can be killed (arrested? freed? killed again?) to get the badge, but is the Ghost Ship ITSELF a mob, or does it just spawn the ghosts? I've never actually SEEN the Ghost Ship, so I don't know.

It only spawns ghosts, you can't target it or do anything to it.

I am currently having some issues with my computer, and do not have access to any of my screenshots. I have some really good ones of the ghost ship which I will submit when everything is working ok.

That would be awesome. Especially if you have some good shots of the Spectral Passengers. I could totally use them for the villains section!

I have some good pics of the ship for sure. As for the passengers I usually kill them quickly so that noone else could kill them first:) so not sure about those. I have the badge now, so next time I see them I will sure get some pics.

The ghost ship will fly from one end of the map to the other, whenever it crosses a land mass it will drop of "passangers" Normaly they're in clusters of a dozen or so. You are awarded a kill for every passanger you take down, weither solo or in a team.
So if you want to make life easier for yourself, invite (or ask to be invited) to a ghostbusting team. There's no reason to fight other characters for resources that you can share and still get credit for.

I resorted to killing them quickly on my own only after missing out on them while trying to get on a "ghostbusting"team. It would have been fine with me had people thought the same way and wanted to share "resources" but when they are too busy killing the ghosts themselves to invite you, it is then time to take matters in your own hands.

I remember my first experience with the Ghost Ship. Leaping around IP, I see this huge green thing on the horizon. Sure enough, the dead vessel slowly floats towards me. Not wanting to sound newbish (I'm stubborn, I don't wanna talk about it), I tried figuring it out myself. First, I tried targetting the thing, then I tried landing on it, thinking there might be a door mission or something...that resulted in various debuffs...wasn't pretty...
It wasn't until it hit land and those spooks started attacking that a I dinged in...d'uh...

yeah you get some funky debuffs when you walk thru the ship itself... the 1st time i saw it i followed it on it's entire journey through out Talos and flew in and out of the ship when it was on the water... the debuffs last a fair amount of time also so we can't take cruises on the ship

don't feel bad the first time I saw the ship I thought ou had to destroy the ship itself... so while i was baking it cruise around Talos and I was trying to kill it... throwing PA and Phantasam at it cause if I can't target it then they can... and was getting no where, till like you it flew over land and the pets went crazy... *BING* and the lights go on all over the world :)
there are some nasty debuffs from the ship though.
I'm not a Super Hero, but I play one on PC!
I didn't even cheat to get the result... first try!

The Ghost Ship is treated as a vehicle. Just as with the blimps, trucks, trains, sailboats, etc, you can't affect it in any way. You can't even stand on any vehicle in Paragon, in case you haven't noticed. Just try jumping on a yacht and you'll see it's just as intangible as the Ghost Ship.
