Honk If You Hate Positron

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to my rant. On with the show: Soooo...I log on with my beloved Veggie character Rhubarb because I have plans to tackle the daunting chore of pleasing Positron by completing his endless list of missions. *FAST FORWARD* It's about a week and a half later. I've started up Positron's TF over 4 times, and I haven't found a team that's willing to go the distance with me. The ridiculous level of difficulty (it's set to Heroic, and it's still stomping us) coupled with the 700-hour completion time is just far too much for people to take. I finally create a team that I think can overcome our beloved hero's infinite tasking - We've got three 20+ characters Exemplared, and the rest of the team is relatively sound. I understand that the additional teammates will increase the difficulty of the TF, but I haven't been able to create a smaller team that could get through the first few missions in less than 2 and a half hours. After close to 4 hours, we decide that the beauitful Accomplishment badge simply isn't worth wasting the rest of the day. Here's the real kicker - I dinged 17 during the freaking TF that day, and we all know what that means. I can't even join one of Positron's teams without Exemplaring myself. AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I HATE YOU, POSITRON!!!

Beep, Beep...Seriously, I am very with you on this point!! I don't even attempt this TF anymore. When I first took my main, Mr. Decimal through the Positron TF, it took 4 tries, and finally I stuck it out with a team of 8 that dwindled down to just 3 at the end!! It took like 8 hours, We started at like 8 PM EST, and didn't finish until almost 4AM, I thought my fiance' might leave me then and there. I'm like I'll come to bed when I'm done, honey...Not realizing I was nowhere near done, AARRGGHH! This was before badges, so even though I got a nice shiny SO enhancement then, I currently have no badge to show for my efforts, (bummer!!)

PS. Now I don't even like to fight Vahz, I've seen enough Eidolons in that TF to last me a lifetime!!

Ahh theres a bunch of wimps out there. I'll do Positron with ya anytime. I don't ever quit in a TF. Im a firm believer in not starting if you even think you might not be able to make it. However I feel your pain. And it's not just Positron. Just about every TF I do ends up with at least 2 people quitting at some point. I hate Positron for a different reason. And even more so, Synapse. CLOCKWORK! I hate clocks. Freaking end draining little buggers.

Well I did my first Posi TF today..started with 5 people 5 scraps and an ice/emp troller...after the third mish the troller and a scrapper left so it was down to 3 scraps... and the remaining missions with just the three of us we had no deaths....only one death on the whole TF...granted it was tedious and long and i hate vahz and will prolly never do posi again... i thin because I expected such bad things from it that it wasn't that bad. But aggreeing I will never do it again!

Never say never..lol. It's a good way to get some xp. If you got the time. It's kind of hit and miss at those levels though. For a lot of people it may be their 1st toon and doing a TF in that situation can be stressful. But hey, what do you care. You got a couple squids in the garage. Hats off to you. You are truely a master of the force.

I hate Posi!

And I've done his taskforce about 6 times! All the way through! Why would a punish myself? Cuz every 4th character I make, I fall in love with and decide that will be my main from now on. And what do you do with mains? You try and get everything you can for them! Every badge available, every storyarc (which has so far proven near impossible unless you keep a nice steady pile of debt to slow your leveling)

And sadly, a month or so down the road, I'll throw myself once again into the horrible sea of zombies, mages and clockworks, reassuring myself it's never as bad and long as it feels...

Denial is an ugly thing...

I FINALLY got through it with one of my alts. Total time...10 hours. I am not kidding. We started at 8 in the morning and didn't finish until 6 at night.

The only good part to it was I got 2 levels from it.

HONK HONK!!!!

I hate his TF and Synapse... both are the longest TF's in the game, and they're at low enough lvls that you can never get a good team beause everyone is a bunch of n00bs that don't seem to understand the meaning of "are you guys able to stay for the whole thing?"

the only other option I can off for you is this... get some friends and work with them. Plan it here from the site. We won't abandon you :)

Yeah, I hate Positron soooo much. But I totally LOVE Synapse! It was probably luck, but I made one Synapse as leader and no one left, plus I got 3 lvls plus did it in less than 5 hours! Everyone congratulated me. But Posi... Oh Posi is something else. Ive tried it close to 7 times all the ways possible and never finished it. Now Im too high and need to do it Exemplared if I do it again. And that sucks. Crappy Positron TF!
