Unfortunatley Goooooooooooooooooooooogle has a mind of its own and puts the ads there based upon the content of your site and who bids on what keywords. Though you can filter sites through Adwords there are always plenty more behind those.
It's one of those "necessary evils" until Nvidia, Sony or another big wig wants to pay for the server costs. =/

In general I ignore all the google ads. However, the sites that sponsor the ads are paying for google to post them on sites with content related to their product (yes, selling a game currency isn't a product, but I don't know what else to call it). Thus, if I click on one of the links and don't actually purchase anything there (as if I'd buy in-game currency online, blech) they're paying for me to do that without any benefit. I'm sure I only cost them the equivalent of pennies but it makes me feel better.

Like Nogame mentioned, ads are a necessity to pay for the costs of running this network. But, at least you have a network that has sworn never to charge membership fees, and never have pop-ups and roadblocks like other sites. We try to keep the ads to a minimum so you can enjoy the site.

Maybe it could be filtered so if ther word the words "buy gold" appear or "macros" or "bots" are there it is filtered out. I actually saw a site that was SELLING cheats macros bots and all other illegal cheat devices you could think of avretised here! I love this site but I dont like seeing things like that. Buying items... ok buying gold.. ok Buying macros bots and other cheats NOT ok. i understand selling gold and items. its not really that honest of a thing to do but its isn't like selling keylogers!
Periods are soooooooo over rated...
