I notice a couple of quests don't have the green arrow nor the mark on the map letting you know where to head to. This is one of them. I can't seem to find out where to go from the person giving the quest or people I meet. I've read the quest numerous times. What am I missing? Is this a bug?

You only see arrows when you are 1 warp from it, If i can remember well red cloaked deserter is near yaks bend, check all the citys around it until you do get an arrow.

The man's right! The arrows only appear on your map when you are in a certain proximity of the quest's destination. You'll need to travel to different towns and look for the arrows there to find where you need to go.

The red cloaked deserter quest is near the same place that you kill the charr in the Kings Watch for the "Regent Valley Defense" quest. So basically just follow the directions to complete the "Regent Valley Defense" quest and little thorn should be near that same spot. It's kinda wierd to explain if you still don't get it contact one of my chars in game and i'll help ya out.

I had the green arrow pop up in the zone outside of fort ranik....
Whats funny *really lame spoiler alert* - Is when I found little thorn, he was dead. This is funny, because later in game, Little Thorn is the brawler henchy =p
Guess the Cultist Henchy he stands by must have res'd him.

Nah, you weren't paying attention when you finished the mission. Thom is out in regent valley, found him by accident. But when you go back to Farrah Cappo to finish the quest, she tells you that it wasn't Thom: Thom was too wily to get himself killed, and besides, he lost that badge you found gambling just a little while before.
Now, from personal experience I can say proudly that I've gotten Little Thom killed dozens of times, but Alesia seems fond of him.
