Howdy,
I ran Crannberry thru the Plaugestopper story arc today. They re-did the final mission where you run into Doc Vahz. It is all moody lighting and the Doc has some new digs in his sewer home. I grabbed some shots, have to figure out how to get them here.
Anyway, like I said, Crann finished it up, got his DO Enh, got his experiance, and na-da. No badge. What is up with that? What, do you have to kill the Doc now to get the badge? It has always been an option, go with the bodies or hunt the Doc. As a badge addict, I take great offense at not getting what I have worked for! {grin}

There's a badge for the good doctor?
I know the Plaguestopper Badge comes earlier in the story arc. But I don't think I've ever seen a badge for the doctors mission itself.

I joined a pickup group the other night for the final Dr. Vahz mission, and we did not get badges either. I liked the new digs fro Dr.V though, I thought that it was a nice homage to like a Dr. Frankenstein's lair...
When I played Mr. Decimal thru that story arc, it seems like years ago now, I could've sworn that the Plague stopper badge came from the arc where your character is infected with the Vahzilok plague, and fight at a reduced rate, until you complete the mission...not the one where you defeat Dr. Vahzilok or burn the bodies...
I'm not sure though...

Hummm,
Yes, the battle against Patient Zero is part of the same story Arc. As the story goes, You are on the trail of the new Vahz infection, once you find a pure sample of the infection, you too, become infected. {buzzing flies around you} You drop off blood samples to Smithe in AP and he sends you to the research lab where you just miss Doc Vahz by 5 minutes and he took half the new serum with him. Patient Zero is there to find the rest and kill all the researchers.
One of the researchers you recued has the other supply of the serum on him and he gives you a shot. Of course, it doesn't take effect until the mission is over, so you are left to sucking down CaBs as you battle PZ and his pals. The final mission of the Arc leads to Doc Vahz and his new digs. Mayhaps it is a bug in the new patch then.

Heh,
Okie, I correct myself. There is a seperate mission that I have not yet received that will give the Plauge Stopper badge. This one you have to go into the sewers and disarm plauge bombs. THAT gets you the badge, that and beating the boss at the end. {grin}

Yeah, the plaguestopper mission is a 75 minute timed mission where you have to disable the plague bombs.
The Dr Vahz storyarc's final mission is the one where you have to incinerate the bodies. You don't have to defeat Dr Vahz when you complete the mission. I posted a couple screenshots of the final room the other day.

I remember doing the incinerate bodies mission a while ago, and being really miffed about not getting any badges I was expecting. I had a team of 8 people, can't remember the levels, it was a fairly rounded bunch, we worked well together. It took us forever to take down the Dr, there was 8 of us pounding him. We did barely any damage it came to the point I had to juggle heals and attacks (which were pithy on my part, but did halt his endurance recharge) we eventually whittled him down...It was a great battle, just wish I'd gotten a badge from it. :P
