DM-Iron Man

DM- Iron Clan

League Format: DM- Iron Clan will take place on the following format. Four teams will selected, and play in a round robin, and then roll into double elim. Seeds will be done by admins in order to format a good event.

Match Format: Matches will be played with a twist. The first round of each match will be a 1v1 duel, the second round of the match will be 4v4 TDM, and the tie breaker will be 2v2 TDM.

Rules per 1v1:
Maps DM-Rankin, DM-RoughinrySE, DM-Ironic
Time 15 mins
No amp, No super
Full Utcomp
One grenade

Rules per 4v4:
Maps DM-Antalus, DM-Asebestos, DM-Corrugation, DM-Goose2k4, DM-Goliath, DM-Osiris2, DM-Deck17, DM-Rankin.
Time 20 mins
No super
Full Utcomp
One grenade

Rules per 2v2:
Maps DM-Antalus, DM-Corrugation, DM-Goose2k4, DM-Rankin, DM-Goliath, DM-Deck17, DM-Osiris2
Time 20 mins
No super
Full Utcomp

All encompassing rules:

Cheating- AntiTCC is not mandated, it’s recommended that you turn it off if you trust the other team to avoid the lag it causes. If a player is caught cheating, he and is team are removed.

Sever picking- A 10 ms average ping difference is ideal. East Coast servers will not be used unless both clans are east, same applies to west coast servers. If you can’t agree on a server, an admin will check pings, and make a call, this is final. If you don’t agree you can take an FF loss on it.

Media/Spectators- No spectators are allowed (barring exceptions), change your server password prior to the game. If you are caught with a spectator on your server, and the other team brings it up, the admin may chose to give you an FF loss. There are five types of spectators that are permitted. An admin, a shout caster, UTV, demorec, and a scorebot. In addition, screen shots, and demos are required for each match. So we can use them here, in the tournament section to document what happens, and create a permanent base to keep. Demos will be uploaded by the team, screen shots will be sent via email to an admin (named later).

Punctuality/play times: We understand that real issues happen, stuff comes up, and sometimes you can’t always make it. However this does not mean you can just reschedule because your starters aren’t there and you didn’t want to play a second string player. So here it is. 1v1 games will be played on Monday, at 9est, the 4v4 game will be played at Tuesday at 9est, and the tie breaker on Wednesday at 9est. If a team can’t make it, the other team may either ask for an FF win, or agree to play the match on Wednesday at 8est. If that doesn’t work, the team that was there on the proper day (Mon or Tues) will receive an FF win. Can you play a match early? Sure by all means go ahead and do so, just let us know. Can you reschedule for a day other than Wednesday? This is on a case by case basis, but don’t count on it.

Map selection: There is none. Maps will be picked per round by admins and posted so you know what to play. Will you have to play the same map twice or more in a round (ie rankin, rankin, rankin), no you won’t. Maps will be selected in a fashion so there are NO double maps.

Who gets to play: Who we pick out of the interested teams. Teams are NOT going to be picked entirely based off skill, but rather based off who we know really wants to play and is willing to stick it out and run with it. If you are interested, let us know.

When does this start: As soon as we have eight teams.

Newnet: Hasn’t been decided, and we are going to play this one off the cuff. Newnet makes some match ups better (ie west coasters), and screws over some other matches (ie East vs East). So we can’t really mandate it on, or mandate it off. The stock rule will be Newnet is on, but both teams can agree to turn it off. But we retain the ability to change this choice at any point.

Attitude: Have fun with this. Don’t throw matches you can’t win, don’t be a public jackass, or complain. It’s all for personal glory, and your team entered into our up and coming log to create a record of who has won what. We are simply going to say to be a good sport, have fun, and work to let this event grow so we can build this community.

this idea was tossed around several times in the past, it's a twist on events others ran that seemed to do very well. We watned to start the first off small, and if it works do a larger one. ;)
