Im a europe player to. U can change the channel you play in. When you log in theres a option button somewhere. There you can change the district that you are playing in. For example, my friend plays in the american server because they all speak german and french in the game. Im thinking of going to american to.
If you need help how to change just post back. Im at school right now so i cant help you further here.

Yay our first lvl 20 guild member ;)
Current Guild: HoeR -> Heroes of enchanted Realms
Hoer is also a Dutch word, try figuring out what that means XD

Right, the unique thing about Guildwars is you can play on any server from anywhere. If you're European you can just change international districts to play with your American friends.

You can also change everything in the stats. It will automaticaly log in on a american server.

Careful about switching "Worlds" (between Europe and America) you can only do it 5 times and then you are stuck. Better to use the International Districts.

I never knew that. I get pissed by all the french and german people, who talk their native language. I have problems enough with english.
I was in a party once for a mission. They where constantly talking french and i told them serveral times i didnt understand them. We lost the mission and in the end the blamed it all on me because i couldnt speak french.
so that pisses me off even more. Süche Gruppe für missione. WTL talk english!!! You dont see me talking dutch to others on GW.
