| completing the armnor upgrade before searing |

Me, and some others in the game went to collectors to get various pieces of armor. but I have not found anyone with four new pieces.
I found the leggings, gloves and shoes, but not the tunic.
Avatar is an elementalist.
Is it possible to get all four before searing?

As far as I know you cannot get an ele tunic in pre-searing, only those 3 pieces. The reason why is beyond me.

Last I checked, the tunic for the elementalist isn't there in pre-searing. I assume that the collector is buggy, but they don't seem to be fixing it. In any case, after you get through the searing you'll be buying new armor anyway as you'll go from an armor value of 5 or 7 (starting and collector's gear pre-searing) to a value of 15 or 30 (the values in post-searing Ascalon City).

That sounds logical. the seedscollector says that he has no items to give and directs you to the outfitter.
Starange however is that that same collecter, that originate at fort ranik, also spawns between the beerdrinkers with their bear quest.
I also suspect that the vendors are different for every profession. I teamed up with a necromacer to tlead him tot the glove vendor, but the collector did not have it.
I've been pacing trough every inch of the accesable part of the pre searing map to find that last collector.

I think thats the fun part of the game. Its never the same. Also they have been messing around with patches and stuff. It might been changed. Im starting with my new char now. Im still in pre searing, so ill check around. Im a ranger but collectors normaly ask and give the same stuff.
Hero Amun Ra --> Ele/Ran lvl 17
Sjaak --> Meleandru's Stalker lvl 16
Kitabatake Tomomori --> Ran lvl 5
Yay our first lvl 20 guild member ;)
Current Guild: HoeR -> Heroes of enchanted Realms
Hoer is also a Dutch word, try figuring out what that means XD
Active with MS lately so not much online

To the best of my knowledge each profession is missing an armor piece in pre-searing. They always have, it's not a bug. My opinion is that Arenanet is trying to make it obvious that don't need every piece of armor to be the same.

Not all of them are missing armor pieces. I helped a ranger friend get all 4 pieces in pre-searing. The collectors aren't all the same, but there are quite a few jobs that can get a full set (minus headgear) prior to coming through the searing. The guide I found may be out of date, but it says that ranger, monk, and necro can get full sets. I forget if I got a full set for my mesmer or not, I think I did. Then again, it didn't really matter as I bought new armor as soon as I got to post-searing Ascalon.

My second character, a worrier also got four pieces. so it appears that only the elementalist missis one.
if someone finds the missing one. let us know, just to get facts right for newbie readers like we once were.

I'm pretty sure Monks get 4, also. I can't remember.

I just found the tunic. it is located in Fort Ranik. you can get the tunic off the unnatural seed trader. Before it use to say that he had nothing but i just went their and i had 5 seeds and i was able to trade for it.
