| Connection Problems - Err 5 |

Ok, I recently purchased a copy of guild wars, and I was excited (as I had played a bit at my friends house). I went to create an account, and once I filled in the last bit of information, I hit the create button and it says that I have network router issues, and it gives me an error message. So suffice to say, as of now, I have wasted $50 US in order to pruchase this game. Can anyone help me with these connection problems??
I have also allowed GW into my firewall, and I am running on roadrunner, cable/dsl, and on a wireless router.

Hey! Not that I'm an expert or anythink like pretending to be one but I have heard others complain about wireless routers when playing MMOG. Hope someone else can help with better advice, just thought it might give you direction where you problem just MAY lie. GL :)

Ok, well, I switched back to my old router (non-wireless) and I reverted back to an old computer. I had no connection problems, and it ran almost instantly. Thank you VERY, VERY, VERY, much. I have asked this question on many other forums, but no one gave me a straightforward or correct answer.
But now my old computers graphics card cannot sustain guild wars graphic quality, so I lag every which way I go, and textures show up as shiny white things. =/ I'll try to enhance my quality by myself though.

I had same problem with my graphics. My computer is just as advanced as a rusty toaster, My cins where just to slow to watch, and it took me 1 minute to go from 1 side of a warp to another. Just mess around with resolution, detial and stuff and you will be just fine.
Hero Amun Ra --> Ele/Ran lvl 17
Sjaak --> Meleandru's Stalker lvl 16
Kitabatake Tomomori --> Ran lvl 5
Yay our first lvl 20 guild member ;)
Current Guild: HoeR -> Heroes of enchanted Realms
Hoer is also a Dutch word, try figuring out what that means XD
Active with MS lately so not much online

On your wireless router. Check out the support pages at Guildwars.com. They may have some information to help you. If not, a little research on the net should get you the manufacturers site. They may have updated software to use to configure the router. There are specific ports that need to be opened to support gameplay. The info is out there, if you look. Besides I'm sure you'd rather play on the "good" computer.
