New Zone on City Map

Has anyone seen the new zone at the top left hand corner of the City Map? It looks like it is part of the Green Line Route so it should be a mid to high level zone. Hope its cool! Been waiting for a new zone to explore for a while.

I just wonder if it has anything to do with City of Villians or if it's related to I5. Since it is connected by the green line, it is probably a free access zone, so we'll see some lower lvl people there. Hope it's good. Maybe this means there will be another zone-specific monster, like Paladin in KR or Lusca in IP.

Well, we can't get there yet, but on the live server, when you check the city map, you'll see that there is a green line breaking away from Steel Canyon and heading northwest so that it has Boomtown on it's right and the Rikti Crash Site under it.

Ok...here's the citymap. Which zone are you talking about? I'm not seeing it. (I just screencap'd this)

At least, in the Victory server, you would see a green line going from Steel Canyon to the upper left corner of the map, right where you had those words, RonJ.

It doesn't show on Justice server, but here are pics from Test server, I just grabbed.

Yep, saw the new zone on Virtue. Doesn't name it when you scroll over it though, like the other zones. Could this be the CoV Island?

I don't think so b/c the zone itself looks like it's connected to the mainland. I figured the CoV island would be a real island. One thought might be that this is the first of the zones that both CoH and CoV share for PvP purposes.

Okay someone somewhere posted a link to a site, or I found it, or dreamed it or something, here are 2 references. In the first the line drawing is crude but roughly matches the shape of the new zone, even the Lake roughly matches

Thats freaking crazy, I saw a forum on Main site about that and I jumped on, NOTHING. Its not on Triumph server...looks like our new zone. Nice shot grab guys!

absolutely remarkable. Do you think that the holloween badges might become widespread available in this new zone? Also, with 2 new groups, mean at least 2 new kill badges. Maybe even new history and exploration badges. This also makes me wonder if the creators might get these new enemies to be somehow related to the old groups, like the 5th Collumn to the Concil, or the Lost to the Rikti.

I just checked, and on Victory at least, it's not just the city map that shows the new zone. The train station in Indy Port shows it. This ought to be good.

I wonder, since they already showed some of this at E-3, and i'm guessing they'd be real embarrased if it was messed up, if it might hit the test server soon. Or am I just indulging in wishful thinking.

Now I did see the new zone on the map on victory, and after seenin this post went to the tram at indy and I didn't see it.

It's on the map in steel, at least it was last night (on gaurdian) and I thought I saw it in indy too, but not positive. It was definitely on my personal map. I'll look, who knows maybe it was accidentally released with a patch. Gonna look at the scary official site.

What I don't understand is why it's drawn up as a spur off the green line. They have plenty of colors to choose from, and I though they were planning to add another one eventually.

Could be a temporary fix, or maybe the green will take you to Croatoa and the new loop will start there kinda like steel has 2 lines that would allow you to got from yellow to green line in steel and train to Croatoa and grab the Lavender Line (or whatever) so Croatoa would have 2 lines as well.

I was kind of thinking something more along the lines of moving the green line south to the middle of Steel, then using the old green line station for a red or blue line, which would then make a new loop through the new zones, the same way the green line goes around the zones you reach with the yellow line. It also occured to me that they might put the new station on the west side of IP, instead of letting us change to any train we want in Steel.

Guess at this point its anyones guess. I'd love to see a station that has all trains or at least all the stations close in a zone to make transfer easy for us lazy people. But I guess the fear is newbs getting on the wrong train like i did when i was ... umm nevermind

Well, in the real world, they would do that, but this is the game world. They want us to have to walk a mile through unimaginably dangerous neighborhoods to make our connections. That makes catching a train a heroic effort.
