i downloaded the demo of BF2 and everytime i run it everything works fine through the EA games, Dice, and Nvidea clips. then it goes through the BF2 clips.. then after that it minimizes and theres an error thats trying to be reported to my videocard dealership..
i have a Emachines PC with 2.8 GHz, an 80GB harddrive, and 512 MB of RAM. i have cable internet, and an ATI Radeon 9250 256MB PCI videocard.
i know this is just the demo.. but if the demo wont work then im scared the game wont work, wich i've already pre-ordered.. please help

your problem is simple regulator23, the Bf2 demo does not support GeForce4. However, i am told that the retail version of BF2 will support it so dont worry about it too much. Its probably something that EA games or DICE have done just to p!ss us off.

mine also gets through all the intro stuff and as soon as i get as far as the title screen WHAM! back to desktop to find my resolution as been changed to (eww) 800x600 instead of my lovely 1024x768 and i got a nice error report about some stupid thing?
i mean come on if my pc can run doom3 i think it can handle BF2
graphics card:- Radeon 9200 256mb
not gonna bother with other specs as it seems it is a graphical error

Im having a problem similar to all yours, i get through all the company names and the bf2 specs part, then the screen is just black, I hear the music and everything, then about four times the cursor goes away and comes back, then suddenly the cursor turnes into a rotating red two outlined with white, thats as far as i get, its just a black screen where the menu is suppose to be.
I have a Radeon 9200 SE

That exactly my problem with the demo. Everything works, EA thing shows up. Then It goes to a black screen where the mouse occasionally blinks on and off...

I have:
Win XP (admin access)
Radeon 9200, 128mb 3d card.
512MB 2300 RAM
2.2GHZ
DX 9.0c(Video)
DX 9.0c(Audio)
Well wtf?
