| Battlefield 2 demo won't open |

I can't open battlefield 2 demo :( this is the error i get when i try to open it:
The instruction at "0x00634f26" referenced memory at "0x014b9114". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program [OK]
Any suggestions? any one else getting this error?
By the way, i've tried downloading the game from a few different locations just to make sure that the installer isn't corrupt, and they all give me this error when i try to open the game.
And if it matters at all: I have a radeon 9800 pro, P4 3ghz, 2 gb ram, and i have all my latest drivers.
Any help would be appreciated,

Im currently trying to download the demo and I will let anyone know if I am having the same problem. Maybe someone else that has been successful but had this problem can chime in and assist.

Strange, this is why i allways was a console gamer no freakin' straaaange errors - when i see all u guys specs it's unbelievable that it won't run at certain systems. Bought a high end machine this week but i don't hope that in the near future the same problems will accure. The positive thing is, there is a lot of tweaking possible on PC systems, search the web everyday because people on forums like this must have the same problems eventually.

Well, i finally figured exactly why i got the error. Battlefield 2 stores profiles in the My Documents folder (which is really stupid if you ask me) and i happen to have my My Documents folder on my external harddrive, so I had to have the harddrive plugged in when installing the game, and now i have to have it plugged in whenever i want to play...even though the game is on a different harddrive...sigh...anyway, mystery solved.
