How do I downloaded maps and skins on UT2004? I know it's newb question but I'm just don't usually do stuff like this on my games. BTW I also use a Mac so it might be different for me...

Re: Installing Maps and skins from the internet

I'm not sure if there is anything mac specific (I don't think there is you probably just use the same stuff we do).

Anyways official patches, and map packs can be found from the companies home page. For this you will the file for mac. For the other stuff (fan made maps etc) I'm fairly sure you just download them for the any site that distributes them and then put it in the correct folder (ie maps in maps).

If you have a part of a file you don't know where to put, check the extensions in a folder. For example if a file ends in .utx it goes in your textures folder. It might seem confusing at first because there are a fair amount of file extensions but once you look around it becomes fairly clear where everything goes.
