there are several ways, you're going to have to be more specific.
I guess you could start by checking out maya.

what is maya?? and is there a program you need for it i was going to make a daxter skin or model (he's in the jak and daxter games for ps2) so i could play as him but i dont know how

Go to google.com and make a search for Maya Personal Learning Edition. That should give you a location to download Maya.
