Anyone else have connection issues? My internet seems to be just fine, (cable modem..cause I can surf with no hassels), yet I find that I lag in the game at times, or get the little lightning bolt icon. A few times I will go to check my friend's list or go to a town, and the game asks me to log in again. I have a P4, 2.4Ghz, 1G memory, Radeon 9800 graphics card, so I dont think it is my computer, yet, I sometimes encounter the same issue of being dropped when playing Diablo 2 online.
Anyone have this problem or suggestions?

I get this sometimes.. I have almost an identical PC set-up as well..
How often do you reboot... If this starts to happen to me its cause my PC has been on-line playing games all day..
It also depends on the time of day this is occuring if it is peek play hours then GW is prolly lagin a bit not you..

Sorry im a little off the topic, but your PC is definitely fine, so there couldn't be a problem there. I dont encounter this problem but I just wanna tell you what pc im getting :)
AMD Athlon FX 57 3.0Ghz + above
2 Gb Corsair Ram
nVidia G-90 video card, (could possibly be dualed)
yeah I don't know if you heared of the G90, its the better one of the G70 video card, which the playstation 3 has.
I cant wait!

OK This is not the be all end all answer but I have noticed that when I get lag it's generally because something in the background is trying to access the internet on the same port a GW uses. For me, it's my antivirus trying to update itself. Just a suggestion, the next time it lags, minimise GW and check what else is going on with your computer.

Well, I rebooted..still get the occasional lag. I do have antivirus, so I guess I can disable it next time and play and see if that helps. A friends suggested that since I have had my computer up and running for so long, I may want to backup my files and reformat the drive. To clean up anything "hidden" in there. Think I should try that route?

Have you tried doing a disk clean up to clear out temporary files?
I'm sure you know this but to run a disk clean up go to:
Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Clean up.
I've noticed if I start lagging a bit, and I run a disk clean up I get about 25% increase in performance. If you havent defraged your PC in awhile that could slow you down to...

That is what I want to know! :) I shouldn't have any lag at all. :(
I will try the disk cleanup, havn't done that in a long while. Nor have I done a defrag. Maybe it is time. I would rather try those first instead of wiping the HD and starting over. :)
