Hey all,
I have a GeForce 6600 GT OC and 1.5gigs of ram..
I have the new nvidia drivers that were installed from the drivers given in the BF2 Demo (which I hear were more updated than they had on the nvidia site lol)
I ran the demo on mostly low settings, but on the highest res you can get with 60hrz or whatever next to it.. And it ran great, the only choppiness I'd ever get would be if the server happened to lag a little out of the blue.
Now I buy the game, have the exact same settings, but now after 1 game I lag through any grass, lag on all maps that have alot of brush/trees, I lag through every gunfight, and driving/being in a buggy is like watching a flipbook story unfold.
And any area where there's 5+ people in a shootout? Forget about it. I might as well lay my gun down, drop my pants, bend over, and clinch my teeth in wincing pain while the enemy screams, "FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!" as I get analed into submission.
And I just don't understand? Is it like this for everybody, or?
Also, I'm playing on the lowest ping servers I can find.
Can anyone help me? =

I have the same problem.. Pent4, Nvidia Gforce 6800GT, 1.5g of RAM, 3.0GHZ processor, all effects are on medium, and only getting 20-25FPS

Try turning antiailiasing off in your video card settings.
