My 6600gt kept crashing. I turned off anti-ailiasing and changed the video setting from better quality to better performance, and everything seems ok now.

::For All the Nvidia Fan Boys::
From what I have been told it is best not to install the patch that u get with the game. that might fix a fue issues u might be having.

This is to the Radeon guy.
If u want, try useing these drivers man, they kick the a** out of the ATi drivers, www.omegadrivers.net
:::BE WARNED!:::
I am not recommending this to get publicity, these are 3rd Party drivers so install at your own risk. This Program is not suported by Microsoft
they are really easy to install and they work with my X800 and pull out about 50% more power and stability. omaga also support Nvidia as well.
But as I said They are a 3rd party Driver, there is no spy ware on it or bugs, it has its own over clocking tools and everything, but unistall everything to do with ATi drivers first!
if that dosent work wait for a new update.

I have the 6800 ultra as well. I was searching for a fix for the CTD when I came across this site. Here's how I think I may have just found the reason. First, I did go to www.omegadrivers.net and use their driver, but I don't think that is the answer. The other thing I have to do is use the autorun menu to start the game and not the desktop icon. The desktop icon has switches in it that make your screen resolution and other things change. I don't think systems like this very much, I know that mine didn't. So, now i'm up and working. Please try this and let me know if it works for you. If it does, please pass it on to as many people as possible and let me know what happens.
Happy Gaming folks!!
