I just recently set up a TAM/AM/DM/TDM server for UT2K4. I was asked to put UTComp on the server because of the netcode and brightskins. So I looked into it a bit more and discovered that TAM and UTComp do not mix. However, I still want to run UTComp for the other gametypes (DM, TDM).
Is there a way to configure UTComp so that it will shut off once TAM is voted for, and then reavctivated when DM/TDM is voted for or do i need to manually go into webadmin and take it off of the mutator list when TAM is voted?

The easiest way is to use Epics mapvote to change gametypes. Just add UTComp for the desired gametype configurations and leave it out of the others.

I've tried that. I forced a DM gametype, and UTComp would be on, then i would force TAM gametype, and it would turn off, however when i went back to DM it wouldn't turn itself back on again.

Then you didn't do it right. :)
You need to explicitly state the mutators for each gametype so add | CODE | | ?Mutator=utcompv16a.MutUTComp,OtherMutatorsYouWantGoesHere? |
for each votemode you want UTComp to be active for.
