When i try to play BF2 on my ATI RADEON 9200 PCI SLOT it does not work properly. IT says my AGP settings stopped responding or some shit. When i click on the Catalyst Smart shit it dont let me change my AGP setting to 4X. Does anyone know how i can fix this, question mark. Any help would gladly be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Lil_Dick

My dad did it earlier, but I can't remember were to get it, so yeah, I would help you, but I'll ask my dad later.

If you could find out that'd be great.

I have read the requirements for the game and everything but I still have questions.
I run bf2, I get the intro movie and all that jazz but when I get to menu I can't see anything but blackness. I hear the music in the background but still nothing on screen. I press enter repetitively and I get a little 2 that spins around. I wait a little bit, and I hear the IN GAME sounds, Go, go, go, machine gun fire, explosions and all of that but still nothing on screen... *sigh*
I have:
P4 2.7 GHz,
512MD DDR,
80GB 7200rpm,
Sapphire ATi Radeon 9200 128MB DDR TV-OUT & DVI
So the game clearly runs but I can not see anything on screen. As I have mentioned above, I have read all the spec req's and theoretically it shouldn't run at all, yet it does. Does anyone have the same problem? Is their a fix for this problem? Keep in mind its an AGP, not a PCI.

Unistalling it would probebly fix the problem, but it would also create more problems else where. I don't think uninstalling it is a good idea.

Uninstalling SP2 does wont fix the problem. The problem lies in the fact the 9200 series is not supported if you check the back of the BF2 box closely...so you are going to need to change gfx card to a 9600 or 9800, which would probably be a good idea anyway because of the demands of the game

The 9200 Radeon works if you set the agp speed to 4X all you have to do is go under the smartgart tab and click on 4x agp speed you are probably on 8x . I had the same problem with my 9200 Radeon and it worked for me and I have been playing BF2 for weeks now . P.S.I also updated to BF2 v1.01 and it still works .
