Swamp_Fox who hovers this forum has a Warrior/Elem I believe, he's a pretty knowledgeable kind of guy. See what he says.

Re: Warrior/Elemental ????

Definately not a doomed strat. I have actually used this build for a while until I switched back to monk. Although Warrior primary is definately not a caster class they can still harness the elemental ability pretty well. When building a W/E i'd suggest going earth or water ele. Arena.net has a PvP build of a water W/E so you can check that out and see how you like it. What i would suggest is going with earth magic to use some of the wards or you can make a hammer user with knockdown and carry around aftershock to get the extra boost of damage that aftershock offers.

Re: Warrior/Elemental ????

Ok sounds good thanks. What i was wondering was whether ele's had any skills that would suit a warrior well e.g extra armour, or something, as im not sure because im preatty new.

Re: Warrior/Elemental ????

ok, sorry for the long wait. but i usually look at top 5 resent post and must have missed this one. well anyway. i use War/El for pvp. works great!

i would suggest a swordsmanship warrior and use lightning from the elementalist. it will completly tear up other warriors (lightning has armor penatration). my main strategy was

1) i used a lightning hilt on weapon.

2) use conjure lightning
Conjure Lightning
Lose all enchantments. For 60 seconds, if you're wielding a lightning weapon, your attacks strike for an additional 1-13 lightning damage.

3) melee (while running to a warrior use lightning strike)
[this does alot more damage to warriors then what it says!]
Lightning Strike
Strike target foe for 5-50 lightning damage. This spell has 25% armor penetration.

4) your melee will be doing Significantly more damage so then they will do the "OMG RUN AWAY" tactic so use a Shock\
Shock
Target touched foe is struck for 10-50 lightning damage and is knocked down. This spell has 25% armor penetration. This spell causes exhaustion.

on this build i think i had
10swordsmanship
10air magic
10tactics

and also another useful thing is to use gladiators defence as a cheap very effective elite skill {also thought glimmering mark would be nice, while wrighting this)

Glimmering Mark Elite Skill
For 1-16 seconds, whenever target foe suffers Lightning damage, that foe and all adjacent foes suffer from Blindness for 3 seconds.

Gladiator's Defense Elite Skill
For 5-11 seconds, you have 75% chance to block incoming attacks. Whenever you block a melee attack this way, the attacker suffers 5-35 damage.

also shock is a very good anti-rez spell.

Re: Warrior/Elemental ????

I thought this might help you some:

QUOTE (Prima)

The Warrior/Elementist is an offensive powerhouse and is suitable for all three weapon lines. A Hammer Warrior might focus on Hammer Mastery, strength and Earth Magic and seek to repeatedly knock a target then follow with Aftershock for big damage. Conjure (Element) enchantments work well with the fast attack speed of swords and axes. A Sword, Tactic and Air Warrior/Elementist can use Conjure Lightning for added swinging damage, Gale for ranged knockdowns, and Shock to knock the target down again after he was closed to melee range.

The Water spells feature a Conjure and the valuable elite spell Water Trident, which is superb for knocking down and damaging fleeing targets. It also offers lots of snares and surprise spells like Blurred Vision, an AoE Blindness for use in the thick of battle.

Fire boats not only a Conjure, but offers quick casting damage spells like Immolate and the point-blank area-of-effect (PBAoE) damage inferno, which, at the cost of 10 Energy each, are within the Warrior's available Energy pool. An example build would be to take Sprint, Sever Artery, Gash and Final Thrust (Warrior), and Water Trident, Conjure Frost, Glyph of Elemental Power, and shard Storm (Water Elementist). Water trident and Shard storm help you deal with fleeing enemies and give you quick, cheap, ranged attacks. Conjure Frost adds 1-13 more damage to your attacks. Finally, Glyph of Elemental Power boost the attribute rating of your next spell by two and allows you to toss damage like an Elementalist until your power runs out. A variation would be to become an Air Elementalist instead take Battle Rage, Sever Artery, Gash, Final Thrust, and Hamstring (Warrior), and Shock, Whirlwind, and Conjure Lightning (Air Elementalist). Shock is a PBAoE spell with moderate damage and knocks targets down. Whirlwind is also a PBAoE spell with moderate damage, but knocks down foes that attack when you cast this spell. Finally, Conjure Lightning adds 1-13 Lightning damage to your attacks.

P.S. I hand typed all of this. If you encounter any grammatical issues, that is why.

Re: Warrior/Elemental ????

Thanks for everyones help. I just started with my wa/ele and its already begining to look excellent. I decided to go with earth for the extra armour skills and its paying off big time, especially when no one can hit me through my armour ;)
This is for PvE but i think i'll go wiht lightning for PvP or does anyone have other suggestions?
