I'm just wondering if anybody has a favourite pet for a reason in particular. Also are certain pets stronger then other types of pets? E.g is a lvl 10 strider stronger than a lvl 10 snow wolf?

Well i'm a elementalist buy if i were a ranger i would defenitly wanted to have a dune lizard! It's a cool pet, you can give him cool name's like godzilla or something and he is strong to. But of course you will have to get to the crystal desert first...

I havent noticed much of a difference between pets strength and speed and ive had everything from a dune lizard to a worthog.
I have heard remember heard that the blck spiders (cant remember name) down in the UW is quite strong.

i have a level 10 wolf and they are quite kool every now and thye they howl and you can give um kool names like Fluffy and Rex or even a Rover its up to you!!
oh and btw different pets do different types of damage if you wanted to know the difference for example a wolf does slashing damage and a warthog does blunt damage

Strider - Level 1 - Piercing 3-5 - AC 3
Wolf - Level 2 - Slashing 4-6 - AC 6
Warthog - Level 2 - Blunt 4-6 - AC 6
Moa Bird - Level 3 - Slashing 5-8 - AC 9
Melandru's Stalker - Level 5 - Slashing 6-10 - AC 15
Snow Wolf - Level 5 - Slashing 6-10 - AC 15
Lymx - Level 5 - Slashing 6-10 - AC 15
Warthog - Level 5 - Blunt 6-10 - AC 15
Dune Lizard - Level 5 - Piercing 6-10 - AC 15
Black Bear - Level 5 - Slashing 6-10 - AC 15
Elder Black Widow - Level 20 - Piercing 17-29 - AC 60
If you notice a trend, the leveling follows a pattern, my guess is that all pets attack the same, at the same intervals, but just do different types of damage. And I havent noticed the different types of damage having any effect either.

Im guessing the differnt types of attacks slashing/piercing/blunt would affect the same creatures your own weapons would.. like gargoyles take more dam from Piercing - elementals take more dam from blunt - havnt noticed with slashing it may be general...

it all comes down to this: My pet warthog Oink is the best. pets in PvP are a major liability, and in PvE, you might as well pick up a henchi instead...so piucking the cute warthog is the best bet

My favorite has to be Melandru Stalker, but I'm starting to like the warthog more and more. Main reason for the change is that enemies don't see the warthog as a threat and don't attack it. But it is pretty much useless at first since its so weak but once its leveled it can be a real help.

im a ranger the elder black widow is a good pet i had a dune lizard but i think th spider poison the enemy so i'd keep the spider over the lizard

You get it in the Underworld, I believe or the other place that is available when whatever countries server you are usings server is in favor. Then go to the temple of the ages and there will be two ghosts. You have to pay about 1k to get in.

In my oppinion, it all comes down to looks and the Giant Spider is my favorite. It looks cool and people respect you if they see them. They might poison too but I don't pay too much attencion to that. There might be 2 other types of spiders as well but I have never seen one.
