Global Academy on Triumph
"The Future of Heroics"
Global Academy is a spinoff group of Global Heroics on Triumph. In Global Heroics, all heroes are named Mr./Miss and use their flag as the theme for their uniform. The following info pertains to Global Academy:
Leader: Headmaster (contact Mr El Salvador or Mr. Bermuda)
Captain: Professor (there will be one professor for each core archetype: blaster, controller, defender, scrapper, and tanker)
Member: Student
Special Rules:
Naming: GA uses the same naming strategy as Global Heroics. All Students must be Miss or Mr. , or any variation of the titles (Mister, Ms, etc.). Names cannot duplicate those of members already in GH.
Costumes: The students of GA have not earned the privilege of wearing flag colors. This comes upon reaching Security Level 20, upon completion of the cape mission, and after invitation to Global Heroics by a GH Charter Member or Superpower. In lieu of the flag-color requirement, all costumes will be uniform, save for small alterations for personal affect or class (archetype) differentiation.
Exchange Students: Young heroes from other avenues may join GA without the same naming restrictions, but must still follow the costume requirements. The names of exchange students must be original, tasteful, and follow the conventions of the superhero genre. Phrases, suggestive, meta-game or inside joke names are not acceptable. The Headmaster has the right to refuse admission to any applicant whose name he deems unfitting for the supergroup. Furthermore, exchange students are not eligible for admission into Global Heroics once they achieve Security Level 20, and must also leave Global Academy upon that benchmark. Alumni (including exchange students) may apply for faculty positions once they meet the appropriate requirements and there is a position available.
Organization:
The Headmaster/Mistress is the sole leader of the supergroup. Beneath that position are a core group of professors, one from each archetype. Each professor is an alumnus of GA or drawn from the ranks of Charter Members or Superpowers of GH. Any member of Global Heroics Legends may also qualify for a faculty position. As such, each professor must be at least level 30 and have the Advisor badge. Students will be put into a class depending upon their archetype. Their class will be easily identifiable by the color-scheme of their uniform.
Global Academy Mission Statement
Global Academy (GA) will strive to provide a fun experience for its student and faculty players. GA will build a reputation for being the server’s resident experts in low-level (1-20) content. We will have a strong presence in and working knowledge of Atlas Park, Galaxy City, Kings Row, Skyway City, Steel Canyon, Perez Park, The Hollows, Boomtown, and Faultline. GA will be known as a Roleplaying (RP) supergroup that allows for participation as much as its members are comfortable.
GA will work with other supergroups who share similar goals. GA will share a coalition with its parent group, Global Heroics, and its sister-group, Global Heroics Legends. It is with the members of these two groups that GA will work most closely. GA leadership will work with GH and GHL leadership to create the feeling of a meta-Supergroup. To that end, GA will use Coalition chat in lieu of Supergroup chat. GA will also particpate in “field-trips” with the higher-level members of both groups. GA members will also share the resources of the globalheroics.com forums, and keep its own sub-forum open for participation by all GH and GHL members.
Costume Requirements
Upper Body >> Tight
Chest >> Tights 2 >> Pattern 6
Chest Detail >> Earth (kheldians may use Star 7)
Lower Body >> Tight
Pants >> Tights 2 >> Stripe 2
Official Colors (expressed as X,Y; Black = 0,0 and White = 9,0)
Primary 4,0 (Silver)
Secondary 0,0 (Black)
Colors of the patterns and other trim on the Top and Bottom must be specific to the archetype of the hero as follows:
Blaster 6,1 (Red)
Controller 4,12 (Purple)
Defender 5,10 (Blue)
Scrapper 6,3 (Gold)
Tanker 7,0 (Light Silver)
Warshade 0,0 (Black)
Peacebringer 7,9 (Light Blue)
Use the above color for the “water” part of the Earth chest detail. The landmasses should be 0,0 (Black).
Any other part of the costume is customizable, but should follow the set color scheme with little variation.
Body and face should be youthful (teen) in appearance, but take care not to make your GA student too short, as you may want him or her to “grow up” once you earn more costume slots. Body type/height is not rescalable in Icon.

This is a super cool group wrapped inside a super cool family of friends. Not only do I have a character in the academy (Mr. Bulgaria), but I also have one in Global Heroics (Mr. Uganda). And one day, they may be in Global Legends, where the numerous 50's go to retire. It is easy to find a team when you are part of the Global Heroics family, you just hit the GH chatline, and people come out of the woodwork! Our group won best Triumph supergroup in the first anniversary awards, and with good reason! So come check us out, and have some fun!

I am really impressed with this sg. I have a toon in the acadamy and they use a global private chat to cross all 3 Global groups which is pretty cool. And the other really cool thing is that once your in one of the sg's everybody seem to be cool with you playing your alts in sg function which rock because I have toons with different lvl's all over the place. I think that is one of the coolest parts just because I've joined so maybe special sg designed around a single concept and then people decide they don't want to play anymore and then you have a toon that has a sg with nobody to play with. This is a great sg concept with the 3 different sg's working together and allowing all alts to participate in the family is just fantastic.

Regarding the naming convention, does it have to be a country, or could it be a city/state? For example, Mr Madrid, or Miss Kentucky or Ms Harlem or somesuch.

Like Nakoma said, no cities or States. BUT, we have recognized certain regions of the world as members: Antarctica and Siberia come to mind. Regions that are not recognized as countries need to be approved by the leaders (Superpowers) of the SG.

The website now has a nearly complete roster that includes the main group, legends and the academy for those wondering what the group may need or what countries are taken. Simply refer to the Global Handbook, then roster.

When Global Heroics was started a a year ago, myself and the other founders had no idea it would take off like it has.
There have been many eras of leadership in GH, Germanic, Lithuanian, El Salvadoran, and currently Kenyan. I came back to visit after a few month layoff and I was amazed to see what the group had grown into. Good teams are always available at most any level, regular scheduled TFs, etc.
Miss Germany is still around, but my current hero, Miss Mozambique is about to graduate from the Global Academy - I wanted to experience all the COH additions from the very begining.
