Well I wouldn't focus on Charr you will only encounter them in the ascalon area. I know Charr are weak against fire.. Are you going to do this solo or with henchies or with other people?
I am doing this solo atm and I have a Ele/Monk.. I specialize in Fire-damage Earth-defense Healing-healing and energy storage-more power... I am having low difficulty at it but then again all my characters had low difficulty while I did it solo but if you do it this way its best to fight mobs under your lvl as in wait till about 7-8 to leave presearing.. If you do all the quests you can find you will be near 7-8 just kill everything you see...
but its early so Im prolly just rambling..

Thanks you for your reply, the reason i am really starting again is becouse i tried to attack the charr on the 'across the bridge' quest as monk/ele level 6, i was easily bested by the charr wielding archers and unfortuately was left very disapointed that i was killed so easy.
I hope with my new character that i will be able to kill charr much easier..
As monk/ele i did try a fire attacks but it did'nt seem to do alot, they were killing me faster than i was killing them :(
Are you sure they are weak against fire?

well, i dont think it would matter if charr are weak against fire or not. ok, atm fire is the most damaging attribute elementalist can train in, and at low levels such as when they fight char, Fire Storm is a really great skill, does damage very fast, and if they are weak against fire, it would probably be the best skill to use.
as for your current post saying you had a monk/ele. you probably wouldn't need to start over with an ele. just take out attibute points, and load them up on fire magic. and put whatever is left over on heals.

Im pretty sure the only earth ones you can get at this point is Armor of Earth and that magnetic aura.. thats all I have right now.. and Im 11 just made it to Yak's the area right after Charr.. (on my Ele)..
I say stick with your Monk/Ele and try different skills. Keep mending on your self and if the archers are posing you a problem you can run with heal area that is a big heal spell but heals the area enemy or ally since there far away no prob.. are you doing this with henchmen? specially since monk armor/deffense is one of the weakest..

This is late due to the fact that you've already started over, but it should help for the future. Play the type of character than you are and/or enjoy. If you're the type that likes to be in the front lines, then go war. If you like staying back and casting then choose from one of those professions and so on. The game is going to get a lot harder than it is at the charr spot. I don't mean to discourage you, but there are spots were you MUST have a full party of other players. I came to GW expecting a game that I could solo if I wanted to. I didn't even try that, but a friend of mine and I couldn't duo for very long. We got far and to lv20, but there is still lots for us to do. Also, you could have made a second character.. you made it sound like you deleted your first. If you can't get passed a part, redo your attributes and skills, then if you still can't.. get help from a party. If you keep making new ones everytime you get stuck, you'll never make it anywhere.

also, jsut a bit to add. you can change your second profession after doing a quest late game (1 quest per profession you want to change to). once you do the quest you can switch to that profession anytime you visit one of the 3 non mission towns in the scarlet desert.
so it really doesn't matter if a secondary mixes with your primary or not.
would agree that you make primary something you like to play.

Necro/Mesmer 1. bloodmagic steal health
2. Empathy preferably on char blademasters or whatever they are called, they attack so fast. then you can use conjure phantasism on them

i would have to disagree with you there. from my current knowledge you dont have to have a full party of other players to do anything at all. only place where it wont let you use henchmen i think is underworld and fissure of woe, which can be done with 2 people (have tried underworld with 2 people and succeded). would say that it is much easier to go with other more players, but by no means neccesary
