| problem with drive for battle field 2 |

ok i just got BF yesterday right i installed it everything right yes then when i restart my pc and come to play it. it says please ensure battle field 2 install dics is in the drive select ok and restart the application and iv tryed it in my dvd drive and cd and it says the same thing can anybody help and tell me step by step how to fix this :) thx u

which version do you own the cd or the dvd. If cd then you have to use cd #1. If dvd then i dont know. What kind of drive are you using. Have you tried using another drive to troubleshoot

it says PC DVD ROM then it says ONLY DVD COMPATIBLE and iv tryed it on both drives

Ok you are not being clear with me.
1. Which version of the game do you own. The single disc DVD version OR the 3 disc CD version.

I own the single disc DVD version, and im having the same problems. After the game fails to load, it also deletes my DVD rom icon. I have to re-boot my system to get it back!

I first installed the game and played for weeks without problems. I then installed my Sony DLA program for my dvd burner. The program is designed to allow me to drag and drop files into my drive from my computer. Upon installing this software, I encountered the problem where BF2 says please ensure battle field 2 install dics. After uninstalling the DLA program, the error went away and I was able to play BF2. Check to see if you have a similar program that interfaces itself with your drive.
