Why are some players only Warrior or Mesmer? Why not be a Warrior/Ranger or Mesmer/Elementalist? You have new skills, new weapons, and you are all around stronger! Any ideas why they are only one profession?

Q: new skills?
A: nope
Q: new weapons?

Q: any ideas why they are only one profession?
A: so they can focus attribute points, or not bother with secondary skills, which in turn imo makes them weaker

Not a smart thing to do really, and what gets me is that you don't have to put and attribute points into your second class if you don't want to...

If I remember correctly there was a bug a lil while back that let you actually leave presearing with only 1 profesion.. but now its impossible to do it since you have to do second profesion before you get offered to leave...
Jake Roberts - 42 - NB/SR/BS Stalker - 142 Badges
Lunar Outflux - 34 - Ice/Rad Corrupter
@Sequana - Liberty - CoV - Ominous Villains
Dasha - 70 Shaman - Povar - Everquest - Blades of Law

if thats true they might have got 1 profession as like a keepsake/collector item, and brag about how they made their character weaker. also they may want to keep one profession in order to try and get a new class as secondary. like complain to GW staff when expansion comes out. and try to get to be the first level 20 having that class

it really depends it will make you weaker if you distribute all your points between two professions. but if you are a monk then its a good idea to train in something else as they are usless at fighting same with mesmers.

if you didn't want to put points in second profession you dont have to...only reason i can think of. ok just say a person makes a warrior named Bob Whatsmyname and so he makes a second profession monk and uses no monk skills. and then he enters a mission and his whole grp died. they would prolly be really PO since he didn't have a res and was a monk.
so making a plan warrior lets them know to expect disappointment ahead of time =)

Its better to have 2 professions, but its just getting the right combination. Ive got 3 chars now and i use the second prof on them all, as it really helps to improove your char..

One of my Fav chars is the monk. Ive done all the desert quests so I can change my monks second prof to suit my needs.
This makes my monk really powerful. But it takes alot of work, as uve got loads of extra quests to do, and not forgetting all the extra elites to collect.
But its worth it.

ermmm, help me on this one, If you dont have a secondary profession, say warrior for example, then you cant buy or earn those secondary skills right? I know several people who have unlocked virtually every skill for every profession, and can be very flexible in setting up a guild battle, or even a particular mission/quest.

Reply yep thats right, but uve gotta have a second prof, to leave pre-searing..
And if u don't like the second profession uve selected u get the option to change it l8r in the game.
And become very flexible like your friends

Sometimes I play just Mesmer in the 4v4 arena purposely. If I don't walk around with a secondary, everyone thinks I'm a newbie and I'm no longer one of the prime targets everyone tries to kill. Thus allowing me to REAK Havoc and have everyone think otherwise until its too late.

| Koekjes, Koekjes, Koekjes... |

I`ve been a Necro Ranger for a long time, i didn`t do anything with my ranger though, so i changed it for monk and addes Rebirth to my skillbar... Mostly I don`t need it.
I just want to be a great Necronancer... that brings me to my problem... I have ALL the Necromancer skills exept Life Transfer.
There are 2 places I can get it (that I know of):
Ring of Fire from a boss who managed not to be there the last 17 times I looked... grmbl.
Or in Iron Mines where u have to get really far past Mursaad... with Henchies who aren`t infused... Pretty bad, so my question is there a better way, place, strategy to get my last skill?
