Improvements for BF2. Do you agree?

Ok so I've got a few ideas here. Partly I'm upset about the game crashing a crapload on my computer but I'm just assuming its a videocard issue. That's just one thing that I'd like to see improved upon.

Next there's a few things that I've read on websites from the developer and publisher that there was going to be a buddy list of some sort ingame, but that is nowhere to be found. Also, I have read that there were supposed to be hovercraft but those also are strangely absent from the release.

Ok, now on to the things that I'd like to suggest. I'm not sure if anyone that reads this is going to have an impact on the future development to the game, but maybe some mods might get a few ideas.

Remember those "little birds" from Black Hawk Down the movie? Yeah, those would be awesome to see in a future version. I mean, the limits are endless for the amount of vehicles and aircraft that could be incorporated into the game but that's just one thing that I think would be very appropriate.

Now some interface ideas. Maybe I haven't played enough to get used to the radio system, but it seems that the map could have a little more to it. When a vehicle asks for repairs and such, indicators should be more obvious because it seems to me that the majority of players have no idea what they're doing.

One last thing I'd like to see in the next version is a change to the non-American transport chopper. You know that big, useless thing that sort of just floats around uselessly. Perhaps better guns might help, as the American counterpart has the obvious advantage with the mini's. Also a new paint-job would help liven it up a little. Maybe paint it with black and gold stripes with a huge bull's-eye on the side and call it the "bumble-bee"

I've got more ideas, I'm just wondering if anyone else does. We could obviously pitch our ideas later to the developers as they seem to have released an unfinished game to us. Who knows, maybe we will see a buddy list and those hovercraft in the next "hotfix" for their faulty patch.

I think the game was well done, but hell, adding more never hurt. More ambient sounds would be nice, as far as vehicles, I'm waiting for the version with huge mecha in it ala gundam style, lol, thats pushing it. Random weather effects as well as night and day time might be neet, problem with that could be the game will require to many system rescources. The customised vehicles sounds good though, would add atmosphere, mabey diffent choices for soldier appearance, throw in some female personas, that would be different. I liked the sountrack and radio station option on the vietnam game, thought they would do something similar on this one, having the random radio playing over the intercom within the main bases in the vietnam game was a nice touch as well. Might be interesting if they had random noncombatants, shooting them could result in -1 point.

i agree with both of you but first they need to sort things out so you can play it properly before adding things like new vechiles. For starters they need to sort out the game so it works with sp2 for windows. Also some glitches where a huge battle tank cant break a box or knock down a tree, and niether can a jeep for that matter. Scopes should also move when in zoom in mode, as it would but it calms down if u stay still or less if you are a sniper

Yeah so a few other ideas I had for the future. One along the lines of different skins for the kits. I think this is most crucial for the sniper class, as concealment is the most important thing that the class has going for it. Depending on whether its a city map or woodland, the sniper should be able to pick the proper camo to be able to blend it better. It's just awkward trying to hide on a rooftop dressed as a bush.

Another thing that might help, would be radar for aircraft. It might be just me but I have a hard time spotting other jets and helo's, especially if they're behind me. You don't always get people spotting aircraft so you can never know exactly where they're attacking from (though almost always from behind).

Keep posting stuff here, I'm having fun reading what others think about improvements for BF2. Maybe I'll be able to find a way to get these ideas across to the developers.

i agree, but there is a "hover" craft, the harrier can hover.. EA needs a buddy system badly, Xfire really helps with that problem though so i guess EA knows its out there and doesnt care to make a buddy system when u can just download Xfire. and lol, i totally agree about looking like a bush on a rooftop, cause a roof top is gray, so u are kind of a black color, how many times have u been sniping and a blawkhawk spots u and hovers down and u can only look in horror as its mini is covering u in 1000 bullets!!!

i think u should be able to zoom in and out of a sniper, its stupid that u cant do that cause u need different zooms 4 different distances, am i right? i mean i cant stand it, i loved the radio in battlefield vietnam, i would just go around with a good song on in my jeep the whole game, banging my head in the car, it would look so funny when u go by some1 and yer banging yer head while listening to "i fought the law and the law won", i miss it so much, PLZ EA BRING RADIO BACK!!!!
