Depends on what you plan to do. I made a ranger/necro to make masses - my pet and hordes of undead. As for necro/ranger I have no experience whatsoever. So I'm just saying ranger/necro on past experience. I'm sure necro/ranger has its points. Better let someone post that knows better than I about that duo. GL in finding the one though. ^_^
Well, I one time wanted to have the lowest credibility on guildwars.gameamp and went almost to -200 in credit, but in the end decided to change my ways and have positive credit instead.

Meh Names :P (bleh i can't think of any real good names off the top of my head :|)
Deathly Nature is the only good one i can think of :P or Natures Circle (as in being born getting older dieing)

I have a necro/ranger level 10 .. and I love her. I created the combo to have the ability to create my own back-up when necessary .. and it has proven to work out very well. My necro/ranger's name is Xandra Le Vay. Here would be a good name, Countess Bathory .. or any variation using the name Bathory. A good name to use from history ;D - Red

I personnaly think the good combo for necromancer is Me/N Or N/Me, The degen spells are unstoppable. And a little power spike and backfire on the side :)
