Re: Crash

What is your memory configuration? How many sticks of RAM do you have installed and in which slots? The IC7 requires (for dual channel) two equal sticks of ram to be installed in-- slot1 and slot3 (for two sticks of RAM) and two equal sticks in slot 2 and slot 4 (for four sticks of RAM). This is actually standard for intel mobos with four slots. What messed me up was my MSI Nforce4 Neo4 Platinum calls for slot 1 and 2 to be filled first with equal modules, then 3 and 4 next with equal modules. Well, this together with a confusing statement they made in their instructions led me to think I should install it like the instructions for your motherboard requires.

Are you overclocked at all?

Are your sticks of RAM equal in latency. It would even help if you knew the exact model #'s of the ram you are running. For instance, I am running Corsair model# VS512MB400's in slots 1 and 2, and Corsair model# VS256MB400'S in slots 3 and 4.

What is your power supply? What are your temperatures?

Try to give as many details as possible. Let's go ahead and try to rule out the RAM first as the issue.

Not that you would admit this online but is your XP pirated?

Re: Crash

I was formerly unaware of the auto install of dirrectx 9b with sp2, interesting read, I can't belieive sp2 would interfere with the installation of dirrectx 9c. For reference, I am using what could be considered an older system, capable though. I did have to uninstall sp2 at one point because it was creating an issue as well.
