Yea I'm a noob so get your laughs and then please answer my Q's.
1 What happens when you die? I know that in WoW when you die you have to take the walk of shame back to your body in the spirit world, but what happensw in GW?
2 Can you actually explore the whole map like not just the areas surrounded in white lines?
3 How does leveling work?
Ok those are my Q's so can someone please help?
And please don't be evil to a noob like me, I've seen other forums wherre noobs are treated like $hit!

1. You loose 15% of your HP and Energy the 15% can get back to normal by killing monsters. You stay on the ground until you either get rezzed or the whole team dies. then 1 of 2 things happen. 1. if you are not in a mission your whole team get rezed back to a portal. . 2. If you are in a mission everything is the same except if your whole team dies your mission is a failure and you go back to the outpost.
2. If you are looking at the map here on this site then only in the white borders. And everytime you leave a city or outpost you get your own zone no one else but your group can enter your zone.
3. Leveling works just like any other game. XP needed to lvl and bam you lvl. You gain a certain number of attribute points when you lvl which you can use to make your skills better. The max is lvl20 after you hit 20 everytime you lvl you get another skill point which is used to buy skills/spells..
if you ever want a tour or help shoot me a whisper in game my toons are listed below. also posting on this site with you questions will help out alot as well. take a look at some of the guides nogame has put together they are really helpful helped me alot..

Well I don't have the game yet but I am obsessing over it Everysingle day I try to see if I have enough $$$ to get it but hopefully soon I will and sure we can go exploring sometime!

Hi im a warrior elemental quite high level still having trouble trying to get enough gold to keep me solvent. the most i have had is 700 and i needed to up grade my newbie armour usualy im having to suvive on 400 gold and struggle to get the important expert salvage kits which leaves me with cock all.

well my friend you could take a look at the collecter information this site has gathered on the left.. its great. Were ever you are now (desert jungle shiverpeaks) look for collectors in that area they will have the best gear and just get collectors its only a shy lower sometimes better than real gear..

on the salvage kits, i use the expert ones only on colored/rare items or an item that says highly salvagable. for the other items, like char hides, sumit armors, i just use a regular kit.

One thing u forgot Dasha(not to be mean or like haha u forgot sumthing) was that since hes real new and starts off in pre searing ascalon. If he manages to die there he doesnt get a Death penalty but will ressurect form the nearest shrine at full HP... btw replying to the original question :D

Awesome answers Dasha!
Just to clear up the details Death Penalty thing. After the Searing, when you die and are raised by a monk or ressurected at the nearest shrine, you get a 15% death penalty. This is a part of a larger Morale system.
Basically, every time you kill a couple mobs (this is based on experience gained), you get a 2% morale boost, and every time you die, you get a -15% morale penalty. The maximum penalty is -60% and the maximum boost is 10%. The morale modifier affects your HP and Energy, so this can really hurt if you are dying a lot, however it helps a little if you are doing good. Keep this in mind for PvP especially.
