I've seen a lot of players using blank names and dunno why they don't just use regular names. Kinda cool looking, can anyone tell me how to set it?

blank names means theyre hacking, the only way to get a blank name is to hack

Blank names are just blank characters from the extended ASCII character set. You can insert these blank characters using special ASCII commands that each signify a different character. You can do a google search on "ASCII tables" to show you the world of characters, which is also an ongoing effort by Unicode to standardize all characters of the world into one place.
But basically, there is a character that is actually just a blank space. To insert this in your name you would go to your player name and hold down Alt+0160 then release and you would then have the character inserted.
Have fun. Too bad antitcc servers makes it easy to find out who you are with the console command "mutate antitcc whois [insertnamehere]"

That is what i use.
You cant really use TCC because they have no way of knowing how many hiddens there are.

yes you can, because you can add them to ur buddy list from server browser.. then you can copy/paste the name for antitcc.

True, but i would not quite call them hackers. I thought they where at first until i realized what they where doing. Just simple commands, just like : » « ¬ or many many others that people use in game.

lol... its a joke i know theyre not hacking, but its funny because everytime someone joins a server with a blank name they get accused of it.

ive gotten banned from 3 servers for using blank names, while being accused of hacking.

I just kick them, i know it's not hacking but i don't like it either way. I do it when i'm on a server and i see them doing it. Then i try to get other people to do it. At some point, i will get them to and there will be a server full of no-names

people are like "why dont you use a real name?" then someone chimes in "because he is hacking." that chain of events happened at least 3x in one night

its not really hacking...its just they have a blank name
ever see people with the name 'Player' (not the n00bs)??
i know people who use it as an alias that no one can track because it is so commonly used like 'Player'
people who hack r caught because they get a bot killed on anti tcc or something...not becuz they have a blank name
