yea i tryed to make a dedicated server i ran the stand alone server and i even tried downloading the dedicated server for battlefeild 2 it works but it won't advertise it on the multiplayer menu this may be a stupid question but is that because am not renting a server is that how its done on battlfeild2 cause in counterstike where am from it's different.do u have to rent a server for it to show up in the multiplayer games if someone could answer my stupid question it would be helpfull.

The server list and search has been a bit buggy sinse release, I set up a lan with some friends over and ran the server option with the goal of playing on the same team, they couldnt find the named server, 20 others over multiplay conected though, confusing eh, I can say, nope you dont have to rent a server, not sure about ranked servers though(probably do there), dispite the previous patches there are bugs still though.
