well can you consider it a flop if there's low expectations to begin with? =\
there's many very good players from north america who aren't going to cpl at all due to lack of sponsorships, so that doesn't help... and quite a few teams who in all reality don't have a prayer but are going anyways (i.e. mine).. i think a handful of north american teams have the opportunity to place respectibly, but i wouldn't expect any to pull any miracles...

All due respect to the teams from the U.S., but I think we're gonna fall on our asses before be can even begin to stand up...just look at ESWC
Although it's a different kind of event, I don't really expect the results to be any different.
1v1, 4v4 TDM, it doesn't really matter IMHO :-\

well unfortunately we UT-style players (and quake-style for that matter) seem to be a minority in North America nowadays =(
everyone would rather play these realistic (to varying degrees) games...
personally i can't stand being put in a game where i have less freedom -- especially with movement -- than i do in real life... in real life i can climb over things more than 18 inches high -_-

halo pc turns out to be a huge conspiracy, and right in the middle of cpl it steals everyone's money out of their bank accounts and causes all pc's with it installed to spontaneously combust...
bill gates flies to his secret compound on antarctica and is never seen again save for his steady crop of new harem girls that are periodically shipped there...
