I heard somewhere that there was a patch or something that would get rid of the annoying noise that targeting drone makes, anyone know about this?

I've heard rumors about that as well, but never found the patch that did it.
One thing you can do is to go into your options, Graphics and Audio, and turn the game sounds down. They have an option for both music and effects. I run with a large group that uses Ventrillo. It's a voice over the internet protocol software that allows us to talk to each other while we play(I suck at typing in game). We have to turn the game sounds down to hear each other well. You would be surprised how clear everything still is when you crank both down to 10%. I myself run at 7% for both, and can still hear glowies clearly.
I run a Dark Armor Scrapper, Dev Blaster, and Electric Blaster that have a couple of noisy powers. That Targeting Drone in particular is the worst. It really takes the annoying volume out of it. You can still hear it, but it's not nearly as bad.

Still rumour, but I heard they changed it in I5? Or at least it is on the list of things statesman is going to change.
