Hey all, I am having some probs getting BF2 to even start, what is the deal? It loads the initial BF2 title screen, then the screen goes black and it appears to start loading. I can hear my comp working and the screen flashes a couple times, then it just goes back to the desktop.
System Config:
Pentium 4 1.8 GhZ
128 MB NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti 4600
1024 DDR RAM
SONY 16x DVD-ROM
I know it is not a top end system by far, but it still meets the required specs to run the game. I have DL'd the v1.02 patch already and that doesn't do much to help me. If anyone has any ideas that could help me out that would be awesome.

EA's official statement concerning the game is that it is not meant to be run on any card before 5700fx. EA also states that the card WILL NOT run at all on geforce 4xxx series cards.

Hey, thanks John. That is some pretty crappy news, but that must be what my prob is. Now I just have to talk my wife into letting me upgrade!

SO BASICALY IF IM RUNNING A NVIDIA GEFORCE4 MXtm-440 i cant play battle field 2 at all on this computer ?? if so i know u cant because u said but what is the reason EA have givern for this because im sure this card is able to handle the game because i played it round me dads. AND there is no clear warning on the front cover yeah yeah u can ahve all this but secretly if ur using a certain one ur wisting 30 squid and have to splash out god knows how much more on a new card ??
