Connection Refuse

Look, we all love the damn game, but for some reason, I can't get it to go past connecting to account server screen. I can't get into nothin'. I disabled my firewall, but it's doing NOTHING! I'm very pissed, it has only been happening today, and now I am very mad, it has done nothin', I'm gonna need

Sorry 'bout that, it was a one day outage of severs. Sorry. :) But sometimes it does refuse connection. -_-

Hey man
I know EXACTLY what you are talking about as I have had the same problem. Not only myself but others as well. Sometime reinstalling the game helps but not all the time. I have sent numerous messages to EA/Dice and have got NO response. I believe that BF2 wasn't ready for release in the first place. Look at the 1.02 PATCH, 140 FIXES!!!!
If anyone else has been having this particular problem please post it here so a fix can be found.. Personally I'm ready to toss the bloody game into the garbage.....

Karn

Re: Connection Refuse

Good God, don't toss the game, I know you could not have meant that. Software can be full of issues sometimes, and mainly with other software, try disabling all virus scanning programs before logging in. The next patch does indead porport a large number of fixes, I believe they are related most to functionality, and not fixes to play. Failing interferience, do the old regestry scan, spyware scan, disk cleanup stuff, I'v seen a lot of simillar problems related to mallware.

Re: Connection Refuse

You can fix this problem by going into your My Documents Folder, then your Battlefield 2 Folder , the the profiles folder, and delete all profiles except default folder. When you go back into the game you will need to retrieve your account with your username and password. for example

C:\Documents and Settings\Yourname\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles

Re: Connection Refuse

I had this problem as well yeserday morning...it never got passed the "conecting to account server" loading page....then after restarting a million time i got passed it, BUT then a new window poped up said "this server connection has been closed" Then i restarted another million times...and i finally get the game to work, and as im playing the game quits back to login screen and say "this server connection has been closed" agian...but finally i started playing agian later and it worked and so far no problem today...maybe EA was repairing there database server or something and some accounts where shut down for awhile.

oh..yeah how are you suppose to contact EA/Dice...is it by email or what...can someone tell me.

Re: Connection Refuse

did nobody read my post on how to fix it? It really isnt
that hard, you just need to reset the profiles, you wont lose any rank or points or anything you will just need to relog back in, and it will create a new profile file that isnt corrupt. But hey if you want to sit there and complain about it not working feel free, I will be playing bf2.
