I sold my soul to society recently when I gave in and created a Facebook profile. . .
While I still firmly believe that these various social networking sites are all embodiments of certain demon princes, I am forced to use them in order to keep in contact with my former High School comrades. While I blame the breakdown on the fact I wasn't thinking with a clear head (Translation: No meds), the fact remains I have used Facebook and have even started accumulating various applications, which disgusts me. Although, I can take solace in the fact that Gameamp, Bungie.net, HBO (not the TV network) and my Gmail all list higher than Facebook in my Awesomebar.
I guess, even though everything Facebook and those other sites stand for go against every aspect of my moral fiber, some good has come of it. I won't go into too much detail though, because, honestly, it's quite a boring subject. . .
Needless to say, at the rate technology is progressing combined with the innate (and repugnant) human need for community we can all expect to see major advances in this style of social networking in the very near future. We're talking brain interfaces people. Everyone connected to eachothers' minds and lives via the intarblargz. Of course, this is all barring the inevitable Great Revealing or, if you prefer, Apocalypse coming about in 2012. I'm personally looking forward to it. It should prove quite interesting.

Upon reaching level 50 I realized something. Having a 50 isn't all it's cracked up to be. Once you have expunged your reserve of contacts, and all is said and done, you feel empty. As if all you had worked so hard for had been for naught. However, this feeling may have something to do with the fact that my beloved SG is slowly fading into nothingness. Every time I log on I realize that I am alone, there is nobody else on, but me.
Of course, this is where the wonderful world of RV comes into the picture. I find myself happy there. I enjoy coming out of nowhere with a Soul Storm on an unsuspecting Blaster who has probably not yet seen such a display of "power" performed. Of course, by "power" I mean the wickedly sick animation that leaves most ignorant heroes going "OMGWTFBBQ is that?!?1". This, to me, is what being a level 50 Mastermind is all about. Overwhelming your foes with, not only the strength of your minions (plus Heavy if applicable), but also with the power you yourself have worked so hard to obtain. While I realize that most Heroes will not bow down as willingly to my holds, it does not deter my attempts to leave them helpless and at the mercy of my Ninjas. Because, when I finally do get that Tanker's mez protection to zero. . . It's snack time! How does the cold, wet ground sound to you today Mr. Tanker? Good, right? No?! Well too bad sir!!

Imo, 50 is kinda not very special. And since I don't like PvP RV isn't everything for me...
You have CoH? Make a hero, it's quite nice to be virtuous after a long life of villainy. Blaster ftw!! |
