Game History Profile: Swiss Gameamp Swiss Gameamp Level 19 Mutation Kinetics/Sonic Defender City of Heroes The Family of Heroes Guardian Server Origin Swiss Gameamp Derek Porter was an independent website developer who had always dreamed of helping mankind. When he was only 8, he had collected more aluminum cans then anyone else in his zone. This money was used to start a home for orphans. At 9 he organized a fund-raiser for a local child with leukemia. As he reached 13, he started creating websites to promote the local charities and events in Paragon City. When he was 16, the Mayor honored him with the Certificate of Compassion. This was given to him for all his selfless years of support to the community. But he had achieved his great accolades with the education he provided to Superheroes. Through extensive research and interviews he had posted many strategy guides, hints and tips, and photos to the website GAMEAMP.COM. These postings had saved many heroes and have made GAMEAMP.COM the premier site for education to the heroes. Derek still didn’t feel that he had done enough. He still felt that there was something more that he could do for Paragon City. Having discussed his yearning with the website staff, they finally decided to let him in on a little secret. Each Staffer had a portion of an ancient artifact, the Gem of Knowledge, and they were offering a piece to Derek. The Gem of knowledge was first created by the advisors to Pharaoh. The power that flowed through it gave all those that held it tremendous support powers. As each piece was passed on to the next generation, a portion of their power and knowledge was added to the gem. It now had the Knowledge and power of countless generations. Derek quickly accepted the offer, and the next posting on the website announced Derek as the latest staff member. When Derek received the piece of the Gem, he was endowed with power that originated from his desire to help mankind. He became Swiss Gameamp! He was now a Defender gifted with Kinetics and Sonic powers. The Kinetics helped him enhance the powers and knowledge of fellow heroes, just as he had done on GAMEAMP.COM. The sonic portions were bestowed because his voice was heard above all other voices, just as information on GAMEAMP.COM is heard above all other websites. He and the other staff members are the most sought after heroes because of the support they bring to the team. He and the staff of GAMEAMP.COM have mentored many heroes who have become some of the greatest heroes in Paragon City.
