Stranded…
That is what I am. A stranger in exile placed on this planet. I still don’t know much about what has really happened or who exactly I am, but I can explain what I know.
To start with, you are correct that I am not from this world. I believe that I come from some planet called Bruntell. Tell you the truth I am not even sure where that is. I arrived on Earth about 3 of your Earth months ago. I opened my eyes to find that I was lying in the middle of a forest in the Swiss Alps. I had no idea who I was or how I had arrived there, but I knew I needed to find shelter and food.
I was discovered by a group of hikers and taken back to their village. They cared for me and gave me what I needed to get myself back on my feet and healthy. I will truly be indebted to those people forever. That is also where I met Roctrine.
She claimed to be from the same planet and had been placed there a few months before. It seems that a species from another system wanted our planet and invaded. They quickly captured all of those in charge and were interrogating them for information. After they got what they wanted they blocked their memories and banished them to Earth, I think more as a cruel joke then anything else.
Apparently, I was the leader of the mining division on our world. Roctrine explained to me that I had powers and that made me special on our world. That was where I stopped her. I was having a hard enough time even believing what she was explaining, but then she started in about these special powers I had. It seems that because of the distance from our world the memory blocks begin to break down after some time. She had been in charge of the environmental control stations back on Bruntell because of her unique ability to control the winds and weather.
I walked away from her and all her theories. I mean come on, the ability to control the gravitational fields… right… it seemed that I was in control of the mining operations on the planet, and I was a prisoner for a total of three months before being sent to this planet. Sorry… I listened to her stories of us being aliens and being banished here, only because I had no other theories, but this was way beyond.
I moved to where I figured I could get the most answers, Paragon City. Well about a month ago things took a definite turn. I was walking home from my job in King’s Row, when a couple of punks started giving me the business. I ignored them and continued to walk, when one of them grabbed me by the collar and pulled me down to the ground. He sat on my chest and placed a knife to neck.
“I said stop and give us your stuff”, he threatened.
I guess this is where instinct kicked in and I pushed him up and off of me. When I said I pushed him, what I meant was I was going to try and push him. What happened was I more propelled him off of me and sent him flying up into a set of overhead power lines. I then got up and was going to grab the other by the shirt. Amazingly, I grabbed him, but he was about 15 feet away and hanging in mid-air. I had “grabbed” him with a local gravity distortion.
Let me tell you, after that I went to find Roctrine again and I listened much more intently this time. She explained that each of the leaders had specific powers and were taken prisoner to be interrogated. It seems that all of the leaders of Bruntell were banished here on Earth with their memories blocked and now it is a matter of finding them and taking back our world.
“Which is why I am coming to the Swiss Army Corp. Supergroup today… I would like your help and the use of your resources within your base to continue my search. In exchange for your tools, I will help you fight the evil forces here in Paragon City, as I continue to learn more about whom I am and where my friends are.”
